I was diagnosed in March of this year with rectal cancer, and am scheduled for low anterior resection surgery in June. This was completely out of the blue, on a preventative screening with no symptoms. But I'm so glad that I had the screening done when I did and we're hoping that the surgery will be all I need. It's so important to get your screenings done and catch these things early! Raising awareness can help make sure others are aware of symptoms and screening options available, as well as hopefully advance treatment options and maybe someday find a cure.

This May, I'm going the distance for the health of those affected by colon cancer, as well as my own!
I am taking part in the 2024 National Tour de Tush, a ride to end colon cancer!
It is estimated that nearly 153,000 people will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer this year. Colorectal cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States and, by 2030, is projected to be the #1 cause of cancer deaths for adults under 50.
We are going the distance (in miles!) for all those affected by colorectal cancer while raising awareness and funds for research in the Tour de Tush.
Together, we can make a difference! One hundred percent of the funds raised from this event will go toward research efforts for colorectal cancer.
Colorectal Cancer can be preventable, treatable, and beatable. Let's work together to spread awareness and funds for research to ensure this statement rings true. Please donate now and support me in my challenge.
Thank you.
