This May, I am taking part in the 2024 National Tour de Tush, a ride to end colon cancer!
It is estimated that nearly 153,000 people will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer this year. Colorectal cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States and, by 2030, is projected to be the #1 cause of cancer deaths for adults under 50.
This is personal for me because my beloved dad Steve, a very active guy with a healthy lifestyle, became ill and was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in March of 2023; he passed away only a few weeks later.
Dad's favorite activity was bicycle riding, so I decided to go the distance (in miles!) for all those affected by colorectal cancer while raising awareness and funds for research in the Tour de Tush.
My goal is to ride 111.1 miles during the month of May.
Thank you for considering a donation or pledge in memory of my dad and in support of the Colon Cancer Coalition's work. 100% of the funds raised from this event will go toward research efforts for colorectal cancer.

Thank you so much to all of you who've made a donation! I'm really amazed and honored that I am already just $250 from my goal with one week down and three to go. It's been pretty rainy, so I've done some riding on our spin bike in the basemnt to keep on track with my goal. It's physically easier to ride indoors, but much more fun outdoors, so I'm hoping to get back out on my bicycle soon!
