This May, I'm going the distance for the health of those affected by colon cancer!
As you may know, my son Britt was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer in May 2022. He was 29 years old. Despite having access to some of the best medical care in the world, science could not keep up with his disease and he passed away in October 2023 at age 30.
I am taking part in the 2024 National Tour de Tush, a ride to end colon cancer!
It is estimated that nearly 153,000 people will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer this year. Colorectal cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States and, by 2030, is projected to be the #1 cause of cancer deaths for adults under 50.
We are going the distance (in miles!) for all those affected by colorectal cancer while raising awareness and funds for research in the Tour de Tush.
Together, we can make a difference! One hundred percent of the funds raised from this event will go toward research efforts for colorectal cancer.
Colorectal Cancer can be preventable, treatable, and beatable. Let's work together to spread awareness and funds for research to ensure this statement rings true. Please donate now and support me in my challenge, or join our team and help us spread the word!
We are all #AlongWithBritt
With gratitude,
Leslie
