I am running in celebration of two friends Kathy and Charlie. Kathy is one of my best friends. She is the glue that holds us all together. She has a heart of gold. She is 8 years cancer-free. That is truly something to celebrate. My friend Charlie is a WWII veteran. After going through treatment he is also cancer-free. In addition I am also running in honor of my sweet, kind mother-in-law Elaine, who lost her fight against colon cancer in 2007. This is such a wonderful event and it is amazing to hear the stories. Through the run I will think of Kathy, Charlie, and Elaine. If you are able to donate to this great cause I would love it.
