Hello, Thank you for visiting. Colorectal cancer awareness and screening is a cause very near and dear to my heart. Ellen was diagnosed at the age of 42, a non-smoker, physically fit, and with no family history of colon cancer. She fought this disease for just over 8 years with dignity and grace. She was an elementary physical education teacher, and treated all of her students as her own. I started the Muscatine Get Your Rear in Gear 5K walk/run in Muscatine, IA in 2011.
