I rode 25.05 miles towards my goal!
This year, due to Covid, the Tour De Tush is taking on a different format. In previous years, My team and I participated in a 60 mile ride along with hundreds of others with the common goal of raising funds and awareness for colorectal cancer.
It is estimated that 53,200 deaths (28,630 men and 24,570 women) will be attributed to colorectal cancer this year. Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States for men and women combined. Sadly, I lost my own mother to colon cancer in 2017.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 the format for the ride has changed from a one day event. Instead, this years event will be a month long national Tour de Tush as we ride to spread awareness and raise funds to fight colon cancer across the country in our own community. From May 1 - May 31, 2021 my goal is to ride 500 road miles. I will be riding in memory of my beautiful mother and all those lives that have been touched or will be touched by colon cancer.
So I am looking for your support. If you would like to follow my progress during the month of May, you could do so at the Tour de Tush Strava club , (strava.com/clubs/846380), or my miles will be uploaded to this page.
Please consider supporting me with a donation to the colon cancer coalition.
Thanks so much!
