This May, I'm going the distance for the health of those affected by colon cancer, as well as my own!
I am taking part in the 2025 National Tour de Tush, a ride to end colon cancer!
It is estimated that nearly 154,000 people will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer this year. Colorectal cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States and, by 2030, is projected to be the #1 cause of cancer deaths for adults under 50.
We are going the distance (in miles!) for all those affected by colorectal cancer while raising awareness and funds for research in the Tour de Tush.
Together, we can make a difference! One hundred percent of the funds raised from this event will go toward research efforts for colorectal cancer.
Colorectal Cancer can be preventable, treatable, and beatable. Let's work together to spread awareness and funds for research to ensure this statement rings true. Please donate now and support me in my challenge.
I have decided to set a fundraising goal of $1000 this year. The last time I participated in the Tour de Tush, I raised $943--so I am aiming my tush-effort high.
It has been amazing how many people I have known who are either survivors of colon cancer or have lost dear friends and relatives to this often preventable disease.
And the story is pretty familiar as people put off being tested or cannot get over the stigma of dealing with their colon. My heart breaks when I hear of people losing someone who are at Stage 4 by the time they get tested.
Please also consider jointing my team--The Get Tested Early Team. All you have to do is click on the join the team button and get out and bike or spin as much as you would like (or as little as you would like) in the month of May and raise some moola! If you raise $50 or more, you get a cool shirt, too.
And I really do appreciate you cheering me on for May 2025!!!
Thank you.
