Spin with MEC
MEC is proud to participate in the Tour de Tush Spokes Spin-off Series for the second year, riding to raise awareness and funds in the fight against colorectal cancer.
This year, an estimated 153,000 people will be diagnosed with this disease—one in every 24 of us. But the good news is, colorectal cancer is preventable, treatable, and beatable.
Together, we can make a real difference. By supporting research and raising awareness, we’re helping to create a future where fewer lives are impacted by this disease.
Join us in this important effort and let's ride for a cause that matters.

FUNDRAISING:
Fundraising is greatly appreciated but not required.
Each registered participant will receive a personalized fundraising page on the event website. This page makes it simple to collect pledges from friends, family, and supporters. Your loved ones can easily make their monetary donations directly through your page, helping you reach your fundraising goals and supporting colorectal cancer research.
Monetary donations to the Tour de Tush Spokes Spin-off Series will be converted into minutes spent riding on a stationary bike. For every dollar donated, a corresponding number of minutes will be pledged to ride. This means that the more funds raised, the more time we will collectively spend on the bike, showing our commitment and support for the cause.
By turning donations into active minutes, we’re not only raising money for colorectal cancer research but also physically participating in a meaningful way. It’s a fun and impactful way to contribute to the fight against this preventable and treatable disease.
PARTICIPATION:
We want everyone to be part of this amazing event, and we welcome all levels of participation! While pedaling is encouraged, it’s absolutely not mandatory. Whether you’re riding, cheering, or simply supporting from the sidelines, every form of participation is valuable. We will have tables representing the Endoscopy Center and the Physician's office- Middlesex Gastroenterologist Associates, with answers to all your questions around Screening for Colon Cancer. This event is about coming together for a cause that affects us all. Join us in raising awareness, having fun, and making a real impact—because together, we’re stronger in the fight against colorectal cancer.
WHAT TO BRING:
Be sure to wear comfortable footwear and bring a water bottle and towel if you'd like to stay hydrated and comfortable. There will be both stationary & spin bikes. The spin bikes do require corresponding spin shoes, you can bring your own or there will also be pairs provided by the gym for the event.
Light refreshments will be available throughout the event.
