Thanks to some encouraging friends, I'm participating in the famous Get Your Rear in Gear race this summer. They make the event silly and fun, which is important when the issue can be so serious and stigmatized.

Rich participated in Rear in Gear races on both the West Coast and the East! He was adamant about cancer screenings, and colon cancer is historically the most closely associated with Lynch Syndrome. Rich ran in honor of his late mom, Carol, who had colon cancer multiple times.

A fact from CCC: Did you know that colorectal cancer is the second deadliest cancer? Only lung cancer kills more Americans each year than colon cancer, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Regular, early screening is essential to catching this disease before it begins and in its earliest stages.
