Four more years! Four more years! The Tita-Tinis are back for our fourth year at the GYRIG and I can’t wait for four more of this amazing day of doing GOOD for my colon cancer community.
When I first started doing this race, I didn’t realize how much it was for /me/ as it was for her. In sharing Tita with all of you, I have found so much healing and peace. And for many of us caregivers, it’s hard to hold space for own grief when we want to hold space for their absence more. But I’m so grateful for our little community, where we get to do both.
It’s my fourth year leading our team and my third as local event director, but even more importantly, the 15th year of this race! We are even holding a costume contest this year!
To honor this milestone, if you join my team before September 1st, I’ll make a an additional donation of $15!
Let’s goooooo! We still have a long way to go to change the trajectory of this disease’s impact on our community. The numbers continue to rise, and early onset keeps getting worse. It’s on us to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms, and help our community get ahead of colon cancer!
