On July 15, 2025, my mom, Jill, lost her battle with Stage IV colon cancer. She was not just my mother; she was my best friend, my mentor, and my other half.

Throughout her cancer journey, Jill faced every challenge with grace and resilience, demonstrating the power of hope and positivity even during the darkest times. Her spirit and determination continue to inspire everyone who knew her.

This year, we’ll be participating in the Get Your Rear In Gear 5K to honor her memory and to support the Colon Cancer Coalition—an organization dedicated to funding programs for screenings, prevention, research, and patient support for those at risk of colon cancer.

This walk is incredibly meaningful to me; for the past two years, my mom and I cherished this event, bringing together our loved ones to celebrate life and raise awareness for a cause that affects so many. Though she is no longer with us physically, I know her spirit will be with us on this special day.
