In late-February, my Mom, Jill was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer. The most health-conscious, radiant, positive person in my life, received the most gut-wrenching news that rocked our entire world. Similar to how she responds to every hardship in life, she's taken every step of this journey with grace and unmatched resilience. Her outlook is infectious to everyone around her. Even after six months and nine-rounds of chemo, she still manages to wake up every day with a huge smile on her face and make everyone around her (loved ones and strangers) feel loved and supported. Her true unmatched super power.

For my birthday this year, I'm raising money for Colon Cancer Coalition, an organization that funds programs to provide screening & prevention, research, and patient support to those impacted and at risk of Colon Cancer. I'll be running the "Get Your Rear in Gear" 5k in October for #teamjill and encourage anyone local to join the team and raise awareness to this incredibly devastating disease that impacts 1 in 24 people.
