My mom passed from Colon Cancer in 2005 when I was 4 years old. She did everything in her power to fight it after her diagnosis; visiting many different doctors; traveling across the world from new treatments; leaving her only 2 year old at home in hopes that all this missed time would result in endless time together. She was only 42 when she was diagnosed. She lived a pretty healthy life, while I have been told she could’ve eaten a few more vegetables in her life haha. Heart disease is a major killer in my family & she was doing as much as she could to prevent that, not thinking it’d be cancer. While I would do anything in the world to have her back, I would also do anything to not let anyone experience this. Colorectal cancer awareness and screening is a cause very near and dear to my heart. I appreciate your support and generosity. Together we can make a difference and save lives! -Cassie
