Our sweet Chrissie was amongst the fiercest fighters stage-4 colon cancer has ever faced. To the surprise of her many doctors, her fight extended over a period of nearly seven years. In addition to extensively researching any treatment options, she was involved with many online cancer communities, providing any insights from her own experience that could potentially help others. Prior to her diagnosis, Chrissie led a very active lifestyle (and continued to do so through her cancer journey), not at all representing a “typical” colon cancer patient. Amongst her many questions, she often pondered why the recent dramatic increase in young adult colon cancer cases. Please honor her memory by supporting research to find better treatments and help answer Chrissie’s (and so many others) question of why.
