William (Bill) Peters Obituary William (Bill) Milton Peters, 78, of Middleton, WI passed away on May 20, 2023. Born March 8, 1945, the son of Bob and Jean (Thomas) Peters, Bill grew up in Marquette, MI and Rogers Park, IL. He graduated from Northern Illinois University and spent most of his adult life in DeKalb, IL. Bill had a long career as the Director of Special Education for DCSEA (DeKalb County Special Education Association). Coworkers remember him as someone who was humorous, respectful and supportive. When Bill wasn't working, he enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Bill had a great way of connecting with people through music and movies. His family remembers sitting out on the deck with him while he grilled out on his charcoal grill. He also spent countless hours having fun with his 3 grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Sherry (Catardi) Peters; his children, Brian (Jennifer) Peters, Allison Peters, and Jenny (Jason) Magill; his grandchildren, Emelia, Flynn and Adeline Magill; his brother, Jim Peters; as well as nephews, a niece, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Jean Peters; his brother Tom Peters; and sister-in-law, Maureen Peters. Plans for a celebration of life are in process for this summer. His family will be bringing his ashes to Marquette, Michigan.
