Hump for the Rump
Chris And Leah Lanam
Hump for the Rump
In honor of Lois Anger who battled colorectal cancer for 5 years and passed on May 30, 2021. Chris and I are walking from Angola to her "Happy Place" (Her lake home on Marble Lake in Quincy, Michigan) The entire journey is 19 miles and should take us approximately 7-8 hours. We will begin our walk at 7am on May 25 and hope to arrive around 3:00. Please consider donating money to the Colon Cancer Coalition as we walk in her memory. Please help us support Colon Cancer Coalition by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar we raise will advance Colon Cancer Coalition's great cause! Together, we can make a difference!

To clarify the name of the walk, "Hump for the Rump," the Marine Corps definition for the word "hump" means to move over a substantial distance on foot, hauling heavy gear. Chris will be humping 50lbs of additional weight during the first and last miles and 20lbs in miles 2 thru 18. We will walk in honor of Lois's memory and all the lives that she touched. This is not a race and we will embrace every step of the journey. Her legacy will shine on forever.
