BECAUSE SOME THINGS ARE BIGGER THAN BASKETBALL!!  On January 3, 2024, the Glenbard West girls basketball program will play games versus Riverside-Brookfield for colon cancer awareness. 

Did you know:

• Approximately 1 in 4 people develops colon cancer
• Symptoms of colorectal cancer can be NO symptoms at all
• Colorectal cancer is the 2nd deadliest cancer

On January 3rd, we will be honoring Michelle Cater, mother of alum Kenzie Cater ('23). Michelle has been battling colon cancer since being diagnosed in September of 2019.  Michelle is a huge supporter of GBW Girls basketball and was instrumental over the last several years in making this program feel like a family - adults and girls alike.  Michelle has shared her journey with so many through the years and we are looking forward to honoring her fight, her spirit and her love of family, friends and GBW at this event!
