Running for Sam
In memory of my friend, Sam Coykendall, who really fought hard 'til the very end and never stopped smiling, I'm running the LA Marathon on March 17, 2024, to raise money for the Colon Cancer Coalition. Sam's presence was infectious, her laugh contagious, and heart full of love to give. She only got to be a mom for five months, but she made sure every day that her son knew he was loved.
If you are able to donate, please consider sponsoring a portion of my 26.2 mile run for Sam. You can sponsor a mile by donating $50, or for the final 0.2 miles, $100. It can be a portion of a mile- whatever you're able to donate! All donations will support colon cancer awareness, research, patient care, and support for families that are impacted by this disease. Even sharing this page, saying a prayer, or encouraging your loved ones to get screened for colon cancer will truly make a difference!
