Hey there friends and family! On Sept. 21st, I will be running in my first ever 5K and I am super excited for this event! And I also wanted to take the opportunity through this run to do a little good. One year ago on Sept. 12th, I lost my best friend of 35 years to colon cancer and so, I will be running in her honor and fundraising for colon cancer awareness through the Colon Cancer Coalition. Every dollar helps bring awareness to the importance of screening and early detection, so no amount is too small! On behalf of Renee, I thank you for your generosity and remind you to have your screening done if you haven’t already! It’s really not that bad and is definitely worth it if it can save a life!

My mom was such a light for everyone she came in contact with. Her love would shine through in both her actions and her words. She is so dearly missed.
