Creating a brighter tomorrow for Theresa

Hello to all my family, friends, neighbors and colleagues. I just want to tell you all how much you have meant to my family and express to you all our utmost gratitude and appreciation this past year for all the love and support you have shown towards my Mother. As most of you are already aware my mother Theresa was diagnosed with stage IV colorectal cancer in April of this year. The obstacles and treatments since then have been tough and challenging to say the least, but the results from all her treatments are showing extremely good reduction in her levels. Hopefully, with the continued love and support from everyone all around, I know my Mother can continue on that trend and defy all the odds she has been shown.

This particular page is aimed to inspire, unite and strengthen my Mother and family throughout these very difficult days ahead. After all that my family has been told I believe all your prayers, love and support will ultimately be the best treatment she can ever have. I would like for all our voices be to heard, and take action to end colon cancer and the devastating effects it has on the people we love and care about. I would greatly appreciate for you to take a few minutes to showcase your courage and strength on this page for Theresa. Please continue to help inspire and connect with my Mother (and family), who have been touched by this disease.

Right now, colon cancer has a survival rate of 90% when it is caught in the early localized stages. Unfortunately only 40% of cases are being diagnosed in this window.
It's destructive and, sadly, it's still unrecognized by many. 1 in 23 men and 1 in 25 women will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer and 25-30% of colorectal cancer patients have a family history of the disease
This page will give us all a chance to help people, like my Mother, affected by colon cancer to fight their fight everyday. It will also help all of those who haven't been screened to recognize they have the ability to start today and prevent this disease from possibly affecting their life and their family. As of today there are over 1.5 million survivors of colorectal cancer in the United States and with the proper screening (recommended at age 45) at least 60% of colorectal cancer cases can be avoided. I hope you all will leave loving and uplifting  comments everyday to show my Mother and family you are all with her in this fight. Please continue to show that she has everyone's faith and support to continue to propel her in the right direction in beating all the challenges that lie ahead. If my family and I have noticed one thing since this started, it's that cancer has the ability to open many doors in a person's life, but the one that is above all the others is your heart! For each day we all have the ability to make at least one more person become aware of this disease and that will get us one step closer to understanding this illness and beating it entirely.

My family and I welcome everyone who have been touched, not just by colon cancer, but by any cancer including survivors, family members, friends, colleagues, caregivers, etc. to join us as warriors in our fight against this devastating disease. We must always remember that you alone can’t cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water. You are not alone. Together, let’s fight with Theresa through these waves and help her prove that even if cancer started this fight, she will win it!

Please help me support Colon Cancer Coalition by making a contribution to my Mother's page and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar we raise will advance Colon Cancer Coalition's great cause. Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too. The ultimate measure of a person is not where they stand in moments of comfort and convenience, but where they stand at a time of challenge and controversy. Believe that you can. God will guide you.

Together, we can all make a difference for my mother Theresa and for all the unforeseeable challenges she'll continue to fight in her life with you by her side <3

Hello all! It’s been awhile since I updated the page only cause I have been busy myself these past few months! My Mother has still been fighting and is currently in the process of qualifying for a clinical trial in Moffitt in Tampa Bay. She is still doing chemo every other week and will now be also doing an oral regimen soon as well. Please continue to pray for her as her fight continues!

My Mother has continued to keep fighting and will now begin a much steonger regimen of chemotherapy to hopefully reduce her CEA count to a number where the MD’s feel she is able to be operated on. Please keep all your hope and prayers going!! It means so much to my Mother and family <3

My Mother unfortunately had a setback before her surgery. She will be doing another 3 months of chemotherapy and hopefully have her surgery in May this year. Thank you all for your love and support. Very much appreciated and needed ♥️💕

Newest update! My Mother’s CEA results are still low 600’s but now her newest CT Scan result has shown her lungs are completely cleared of tumors (had around 7-8 in May) and her liver has only 4 small tumors (had around 13 in May, with several being very large). She is progressing much faster than any of the doctors anticipated! All of your thoughts, support and prayers really mean the world to us!! Thank you ♥️

My Mother’s CEA results are now down to the low 600’s from 700+ last time in October. Started above 40,000 when she was first diagnosed and in 8 months has already dropped below 1,000!
