Colon Cancer Half Marathon Fundraiser

Please help me support Colon Cancer Coalition by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance the Colon Cancer Coalition's great cause!

March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month! I am training to run my first Half Marathon to raise money for the Colon Cancer Coalition, a highly reputable organization that will use money raised to increase awareness and accessibility of colon cancer screenings to those in need. Our goal is to raise at least $500 by March 18, 2021.

I encourage you to join me in the race! Due to COVID-19, the race will be virtual this year, so you can do it any day that is most convenient for you in March. You can also opt for the 5k or 10k race. You can do it on your own in support of my family, or if you prefer, you can sign up using the link below (there is an additional fee for the latter). Feel free to walk or bike as well!!

Colon cancer is the third most common cancer in the world (World Cancer Research Fund). The latest research states that “physical activity decreases colon cancer risks by 25%, independently of nutrition." So, let’s get out there and take care of ourselves while raising awareness of colon cancer. And above all, make it a priority to be your own advocate, schedule your colonoscopy, and remind your loved ones to do the same. It's worth it. :)

Together, we can make a difference! See you on race day (for me that will be March 15th)!
