Our son, Sean, lost his life at the age of 34 on June 4, 2011, after a short 30-day diagnosis of stage IV colon cancer. Sean loved the outdoors as a skier, a mountain biker, and as a runner participating in both triathlons and marathons. He was a loving husband, father of two girls, son, brother, nephew, and a great friend to many. There is not a day that goes by that we do not miss his infectious smile and gentle manner.
It is for this reason that we are supporting all efforts through the Colon Cancer Coalition, to find answers as to the increase in colon cancer – especially to those victims 40 years and younger. We want to help build a community awareness of this silent disease in order to save the lives of those mothers, fathers, brothers sisters, daughters, wives, husbands and sons – like Sean.
