Steve Crump was a great journalist and a wonderful man. He worked at WBTV for decades and covered some of the biggest stories in the Carolinas and around the world. Steve was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2018 and fought hard for five years. Sadly, in August of 2023 his battle came to an end. Even in the midst of his fight, Steve was intent on educating others about the importance of getting screened for colon cancer. We’re hoping to continue his mission!
