Over eight years have passed since we lost someone who gave us so much. She gave us support. She gave us kindness. She gave us love. She was a mom, a grammy, a wife, a sister, an aunt and a friend who gave us everything she could. And that why is losing her is still so hard even though time has moved on. It is also why we get together every fall to honor her memory and to help fight a disease that she and others battled and will continue to battle.
