As many of you know, I am a Nurse Practitioner in the Colon & Rectal Surgery Division at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Nurse Coordinator for the Cancer Program. Each day I have the privilege of caring for patients diagnosed with colon or rectal cancers. Recent data shows the number of new cases of these types of cancer is increasing in younger populations. Early screening and awareness are keys to survival!
