Each year, my team and I raise funds to support the Colon Cancer Coalition's mission to raise awareness and increase access to life-saving screening.

This cause is important to me as our team was formed in 2015 following the passing of my husband, John McGaffigan from this disease at the young age of 39. While he is our team namesake, 2 years later, my father Eric also passed from Colon Cancer.

We walk to raise awareness and funds as Colon Cancer is currently the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, but the survival rate can be as high as 90% if detected early.
