My family has been participating in this event to help raise awareness about colon cancer because Steve is a two-time survivor of colon cancer. He was diagnosed shortly after we retired in 2014 and had no symptoms. If he hadn't gone for a colonoscopy he would never have known he had cancer and it reared it's ugly had 3 years later with a stage 4 diagnosis. I can't stress enough the importance of getting a colonoscopy. All it takes is one polyp which was the case for Steve. Thank God he is cancer free today.
