These pictures were taken one year ago, just after Chris was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. We were about to embark on a long journey, and I wanted to capture a memory of better times.

The journey has been long, often times filled with fear and uncertainty, but mostly grateful for the love and support of the family and friends that have been supporting us throughout. We are not quite there yet, but I am confident that this chapter of our lives will end soon and we will have many more future memories to capture. I am truly thankful for all of the support and to the doctors and nurses at Mass General who helped us get here.

I am participating in this event with Amanda, to help ensure that no other family has to endure the fear and uncertainty that we have experienced. I also want to stress the importance that early detection of this disease is key to a faster recovery, so please, if you are 45 or over, or are experiencing any symptoms at all, do not hesitate, get tested.
