My 2024 Get Your Rear in Gear - Boston Personal Page

Hi friends and family!
August 2024 marks 5 years since I was diagnosed with colon cancer. The odds were against me making it this far. No, really. I shouldn't be here. I don't know how or why I am still hanging around. I'm stage 4, with tumors in my liver and on my spine. I'll be stage 4 for as long as I live. I'll be on various treatments for that long, too.
Maybe I'm here to educate, support and raise awareness of this deadly cancer. To save others from living this life of mine. Because colon cancer is treatable and the survival rate is over 90% when caught in early stages.
To further my role as an advocate, I'll be at the Colon Cancer Coalition's "Get Your Rear In Gear" event in Boston on September 21st. This is a 5k run/walk and the money raised stays local to help fund education and research to fight and end colon cancer.
But I need your help! Join me on race day and register to attend. You don't even have to walk or run. Just be like me and go to hang out with some awesome people!
You can also help by donating and/or sharing my page. Any amount, no matter how small, will directly help people that are impacted by colon cancer and help save lives.
Thank you for your support! We are stronger together.
