I have participated in GYRIG every year, in one way or another, since I learned about this evil, devastating disease. I lost my Mom in 2017 to Colon Cancer, so this fight is incredibly important to me. I am on a two-year schedule for colonoscopies because of my genetic history, and because, at 31, my doctor found a pre-cancerous polyp that would have developed into cancer if I'd waited until 40 to start screening - the age previously recommended based on my family history. It is my mission to raise awareness of and money for the fight against Colon Cancer because the rates are increasing in younger people, the awareness is too low for the prevalence, and because it CAN be CURED if CAUGHT early enough.
Please help me support Colon Cancer Coalition by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Colon Cancer Coalition's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.
Together, we can make a difference!
