This event is always a special time of year for our family and friends when we walk in memory of my sister in law Kay Van Hulzen.

As many know, Kay was diagnosed with Colon Cancer at the age of 35 and battled fiercely and with strength for 10 years.

Kay’s smile lit up the room and we continue to see her shine through her amazing daughters everyday.

Kay's Crusaders started in 2010 and continues to grow every year, while my niece Megan continues to advocate for awareness and a cure for colon cancer.

Also, this year an individual will be awarded the “Kay Van Hulzen Crusader Award”. This award honors individuals whose steadfast advocacy and commitment to the fight against colorectal cancer ignite awareness and inspire action across the community. How amazing is that !!
