Life changed forever in 2014 when I lost my love and first husband - Chris Wickham to a devastating battle with colon cancer. His 13 month battle was insanely difficult - watching the person you love battle cancer unsuccessfully is the most heartbreaking experience. Our McKenzie was only 6 months old when he lost his battle. I started participating in the event every year because I wanted her to have a fun tradition of celebrating her dad.

I know Chris would be proud at the life we’ve created after his passing. We participate in the colon cancer race every year to honor his memory, raise funds for research and and because we love a good competition!
