Steven's Fondillo Kickers was created in honor of our dad Steve Ruiz. In July 2019 Steve was diagnosed with Stage IV Colorectal Cancer. We are sure he had multiple symptoms that were red flags but because he/we never thought it would/could happen to us and we never spoke or knew of this cancer. After a short fight Steve passed in October 2019 at the young age of 60. We were told he had this cancer for at least 10 years. Our dad was the hardest working man we ever knew. I think he knew something was wrong but as he would always say "someone's gotta pay the bills" is why he never spoke up to worry anyone let alone miss a day of work.

Did you know that colorectal cancer is the second deadliest cancer? Only lung cancer kills more Americans each year than colon cancer, but it doesn’t have to be that way. The Colon Cancer Coalition wants to make colorectal cancer screening a life-long health practice available to all, saving lives from this devastating disease.
