Our 2024 Get Your Rear in Gear - Charlotte Team Page
It’s Miller Time!
It’s Miller Time!
Welcome to our team page!
Joe Miller was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer in November of 2015 when he was 39 years old. It's Miller Time had their inaugural race in 2016 to come together and support Joe. Joe loved this race and was passionate about raising money and awareness, especially for those diagnosed with early-onset disease.
For 4 years, Joe walked the entire 5K, despite having been unhooked from chemo the day prior. The race ALWAYS fell on a chemo week for him. But, he showed up and he LOVED being the Top Fundraising Team and the Largest Team every single year. While the race didn't happen in 2020, we still raised the most money and have continued with our title each year since saying goodbye to Joe in the summer of 2020. We know he would be so proud that his friends and family have continued to honor him in this way, and, he would be even prouder that his children have wanted to stay so involved, with both Anna and Alyssa holding the title of Largest Individual Fundraiser for multiple years. Is it Jack's turn this year???
We would love to have you join us in Charlotte for the 15th year of this race. Support our team and contribute to our efforts that will make a real difference in our community. By donating and sharing our page, you can directly help people that are impacted by colon cancer and help save lives. We are stronger together.
Thank you for your support,
Lisa, Anna, Alyssa and Jack
