Most of us think of turning 40 as a wonderful milestone. For me, it was the time that changed everything. Instead of embracing and enjoying my 40's, I was full of worry, sadness and fear.
Weeks after turning 40, I was diagnosed with Stage III (b) Rectal Cancer. Since then, I've been going to an appointment or test almost every day. I'm at the early stages of treatment and have a long road ahead of me.
After learning about my diagnosis, speaking with my Oncology Team and having the best support system of family and friends, I now have HOPE and CONFIDENCE that I will survive this.
