"HOPE is where it's at."

That was a phrase my father coined.

My sister, Susie, went on to share that phrase during her 2 & 1/2 years with colorectal cancer.

Today, no matter the challenging time, that phrase brings comfort to my family. I hope it may bring those of that read it some comfort in these challenging times.

See the light. That is hope. And, hope gives you strength to rise up.

This Sunday, please join me for a walk and a cup of coffee. I'm walking in memory of my sister Susie Lindquist Mjelde. She died 20 years ago on August 9th.

This month, the Colon Cancer Coalition, is honoring the memory of my sister. Thank you for all the years you helped grow Susie's dream into an organization that has advanced cancer.

Dr. Orange represents a ridiculous name we attached to my sister. It was her favorite color. She ate oranges by the bag. She was full of love and warmth like the sun.

Thanks to you - we have come a long way with colon cancer in the 20 years since Susie's death.
