My 2021 Get Your Rear in Gear - Houston Personal Page

Laurie Pitzer
As many of you, I am a two time colorectal cancer survivor and thriver! First diagnosed in 1996 at 28 years old, I'm constantly amazed by the medical advances and willingness of people to share their stories. Talking about your "butt" and your POOP have never been popular topics of discussion. However, with groups like the Colon Cancer Coalition, getting the life-saving information out there is so much easier...and I'm honored to be a part of this group. The Colon Cancer Coalition is focused on getting money back into our local community to help others in need of treatment and resources.
I'm proud to be eight years free and "cured" after my second diagnosis of colon cancer in 2013! Knowledge is key to detecting signs early and finding treatment. I am always happy to share my story of treatment and survival, especially after losing my father to the disease at 31 years old. Colon cancer deaths are decreasing over the years, and organizations like this have a big part in that!
Please help me support Colon Cancer Coalition by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Colon Cancer Coalition's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.
Together, we can make a difference!
