Please help me support Colon Cancer Coalition by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Colon Cancer Coalition's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.
Together, we can make a difference!
On October 28 2019 I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. Making that phone call to my daughter was the hardest thing I've had to do. I just knew she was going to me sooooo mad at me, because she had been urging me for the last 8 years to have a colonoscopy, but because I am stubborn and I didn't want to drink the prep, I didn't. Then, with my annual blood work, my numbers showed I was very anemic and my Dr. made me go have that colonoscopy to find out why.
On December 3rd, my amazing colon surgeon, Dr. Mark Soliman removed a section of my colon which had an egg size mass in it. On Dec. 12th, he pronounced me a Cancer Survivor and gave me permission to fly to Maryland to spend Christmas with Ashley, Dustin and Ethan.
With love, support, thoughts/prayers, calls, texts, and visits from my amazing little family, friends, co-workers, my employer, my doctors, the nurses, the techs and God, I made it thru.
On May 17th I will be walking in the "Get Your Rear in Gear" 5k at Turkey Lake Park. Please join me and sign up to walk or run on my team (No If's, And's or BUTTS). If you can't walk or run with me, please consider making a donation. All proceeds remain locally to help bring Colon Cancer Awareness to everyone.
I am also creating some T-shirts to sell with 1/2 the proceeds from each shirt going towards my fundraiser, so stay tuned for information next week.
