The New York GYRIG (Get Your Rear in Gear) event was begun in 2017 in memory of Emm Barnes - who lost hislife to colon cancer at the age of 57. Over the past few years, Team Barnes and GYRIG participants have raised more money for colon cancer awareness and prevention in New York City.

This year, the race is VIRTUAL. A trip to NYC is not required. You can run, walk, swim, bike, skip rope, or even paddleboard to achieve your goal. Sunday, October 18th is the official date of the "Race", but you can do your bit anytime between now and then. Please join us as a fundraising team member, a monetary supporter, or both, as we strive to this year's team goal.
