Friends and Family,
On Sunday, Oct. 20th, I will be running in the NYC- Get Your Rear In Gear 5k, organized by the Colon Cancer Coalition. At the age of 39, I was diagnosed with stage 3a colon cancer. I had surgery and 6mos of chemotherapy. After genetic testing it was discovered that I had Lynch Syndrome. Lynch Syndrome is a type of inherited cancer syndrome associated with different cancers, particularly colorectal cancer. For the past 6 yrs. I've been an advocate and volunteer with a non profit Lynch Syndrome foundation called Aliveandkickn and I will be running on their team!
